Pearson Hinchliffe LLP celebrated the admission of Rebecca Aldous as a Solicitor on 1 June 2010. After much hard and dedicated work, and achieving a Distinction in the LPC examinations in the process, Rebecca has qualified and been admitted as a Solicitor.
Rebecca joined the firm in December 2009 having previously begun her training contract at Manchester family law solicitors Green and Co.
She will take up her seat in the specialist Family and Childcare department at Pearson Hinchliffe concentrating on family proceedings involving children, their adoption, care proceedings, residence and the responsibilities of parents and other adults.
Daniel Prince, a partner and co-head of the Family department said, "We are delighted at Rebecca Aldous’s qualification and first-rate academic performance. Having experienced during her training contract Rebecca’s skilled and committed approach, we are very pleased to welcome her to the Family and Childcare department and wish her a long and fulfilling career at Pearson Hinchliffe LLP”.
Rebecca, who has been training for the past two and a half years, has gained a broad experience of Matrimonial and Children’s law, the field in which she is now specialising. “This is an exciting and busy time for us and it is great that Rebecca already has the experience to be able to handle the demands of her role.” added Mr Prince.
Rebecca said about her qualification, “I was drawn to this area of law because I realised Family lawyers needed not only to understand and interpret law but have excellent personal skills, especially as it is such a sensitive area dealing with vulnerable clients. I want to make a difference in my professional life because clients need more than just a decent legal adviser, they need someone who is willing to take the time to understand their unique situation and who will explain often complex legal issues in terms they can relate to.”
David Hinchliffe, who also heads the department said, “Rebecca will play a role within a growing team which has seen a significant increased in demand for its services partly due to the current economic climate. Rebecca is now part of a team of 11 specialists, which I believe is not only Oldham’s largest Family and Childcare department, but, I am confident, is its best equipped.”
