Get a 'Quickie Divorce' - from just £499 plus vat

Sometimes referred to as a ‘quickie divorce’, an undefended divorce action can occur when both parties are in agreement that the divorce should happen, even if there are disputes about related matters such as finances and children. It can take between 5 and 7 months from the date of preparing the petition papers to the pronouncement of decree absolute. The procedure in an undefended divorce does not require the couple to attend court in person, unless there is an issue over divorce costs.

We are happy to provide a fixed-fee quotation in respect of an undefended divorce action £499 plus VAT and disbursements if bringing the proceedings, or £165 plus VAT if we handle proceedings that have been issued against you, so as to give you peace of mind at the outset of your case. Disbursements, which include the court fees and other expenses, currently stand at approximately £347.

If extra work is required, we may need to charge additional fees for example: if the divorce becomes defended, the matter becomes more complex, an order relating to the service of the documents is needed, or there are issues relating to finances or children that need to be resolved. We will advise you of this at the time and provide a separate quotation for such extra work.

Please note, it is sometimes possible to reach agreement with the other side for them to contribute towards our fees, or even pay them entirely. We can advise you further on this as and when the need arises.
